If you can’t handle the fire… 2-8-09

I managed to get home from the trip with just enough time to make it to church (it’s in the evening). I thought it was somewhat comical that I went to Las Vegas and then flew straight to church afterwards. Somehow it worked and I think that God enjoys us enjoying life, He just wishes we weren’t so stupid sometimes about what we think will fulfill us. But I digress.
We had a big, fun pizza dinner after the service and while I was cleaning up I realized that I hadn’t taken a picture yet (I spent most of the day attempting to sleep in the airport – our flight was super delayed.) So here we are – industrial sized cooking utensils, YAY!
She’s Gonna Make It After All 1-26-09
Today I was very brave and I cooked for myself, and I was successful! A co-worker recently took a trip to Italy and brought back some spices for pasta sauce for me. I went for it. My measuring spoon giraffe friends are in awe of my amazing cooking talents.
And I know this is kind of cheating (posting a 2nd picture) but when I turned around from taking a picture of this beautifuly displayed dish… well, I laughed at myself. I thought you would have an opportunity to do so as well:
I really did have ALL the cabinets AND the fridge open for at least the last part of the cooking ordeal. Oops!
